Whether you’re into a chick flicks, murder mystery tele-series or live footy games, it’s 100 per cent always better when it’s displayed on a big screen.
Samsung’s next move in the electronics arena is a TV that truly brings the action to life – and as cliché as that sounds, it actually all comes down to the quality of the TV itself.
Ever wondered why movies seem better at the cinemas, besides access to a candy bar and super-sized buckets of popcorn? Its all due to the curved design of the screen. As you’re sitting in front it, you immediately feel enveloped in the scenes, like you’re in the movie itself. And the best part is that you’ve got pole position in the house, no matter what angle you’re watching from.
The new slew of TVs also use nano-crystal colour technology, which provide more colours, contrast and brightness to whatever you’re watching. The detail is impeccable: you’ll notice stitches in clothes, wrinkles and fines lines on faces… I even have a greater appreciation for special effects makeup now that I see how products are layered. (Or that could just be my obsession with beauty!)
Clear sound effects are a huge contributing factor to a good movie experience too. Samsung have come out with a matching speaker called a ‘Soundbar’ which is exactly what you think it is – it’s literally a speaker in the shape of a bar, that also has a curved design to match with your TV.
Expect an interactive experience as soon as you turn on the TV – you’ll be greeted with a home screen that shows your most recently watched content, and it’ll even feed you the latest weather, time and any upcoming meetings if you link it up with your Samsung mobile.
If you’re absolutely hooked to tele-series such as House of Cards and Orange Is The New Black, then you’d love to know that these TVs can stream straight from Netflix. That’s enough of a reason to cancel ALL your weekend plans this winter.
