“If only we knew then what we know now”
How many of us have said that old chestnut to ourselves over the years as we reflect on life’s rollercoaster ride?
It’s never too late to change of course, regardless of your age, or financial circumstances.
So to help you with those New Year’s resolutions, four business leaders from our Sarah Harris-hosted Game Changers series – Karin Adcock, Sharon Williams, Kendall Seddon and Scott Pendlebury – have shared some insightful gems on what they’ve learned on the road to success.
We asked them what they’d say if they could go back in time and meet up with their 20-year-old selves.
What Aussie Game Changers Would Tell Their 20-Year-Old Selves
Kendall Seddon, bamboo nappy tycoon: “Do what you love and what you’re passionate about, because that passion will drive and motivate you to succeed. Also, not to worry about things that are going wrong, but to see them as an opportunity to improve and make something better in your life.”
Sharon Williams, marketing guru: “I think I’d say surround yourself with great people to mentor you, and also have the courage of your convictions and do what you want to do.”
Karin Adcock, jewellery queen: “Follow your dreams”
Scott Pendlebury, DIY king: “Focus everything you do on your career and your education in becoming an entrepreneur. If you’ve got tenacity and a great idea, it just takes time – and more and more tenacity.”
