If you’ve never been to a Wanderlust event, it’s an opportunity to escape the urban cage most of us live in and unplug from the ordinary to open your body, mind and heart and maybe, just maybe, discover something extraordinary.

Sometimes these events are held at places like Cockatoo Island but the next one being planned is an Evening With Drew Barrymore. This will be held in Sydney’s ICC on August 2 and Brisbane Exhibition Centre on August 3, with special guests including Danni Minogue and Michael Klim. And yes, it will start with a mass meditation with Jonni Pollard.

Festival organisers say that “these are yoga events that start on your mat and get under skin. It goes in your ears and comes dancing out your fingers and toes. Eyes drink beauty and hearts fill with community. You sip and swallow straight to your soul.”

Over the years, the Wanderlust events and business has changed. In the past, they have had events where you go for the day or three, bring a friend or make a whole group of new ones. From early morning meditations to all-night chakra-spinning musical performances, come practice and party in the most awe-inspiring locations in the world. Now, they often have one off events with celebrities, still centred around wellness and they also sell a range of beauty products from Sleep and Stress ointments to Siberian Ginseng on their website.
