Audible is taking part in Vivid Sydney this year for the first time with its Audible Live: Stories Made to be Heard over three nights of talks with incredible Sydney-based podcast creators about their unique audio-focused stories.
From ASMR to competitive chilli-eating, the ageing process and the five tastes, this series of live events includes fabulously talented podcasters such as Melissa Doyle, Adam Liaw and Laura Nagy.
Sharing secrets into the unparalleled and intimate power of audio, the speakers will share the creative benefits of working in audio, and the innovative ways to tell a diverse and powerful story within this popular format.
Held at the University of Technology Sydney’s Great Hall, audiences will have the opportunity to dig deeper through an audience Q&A, with a meet-and-greet to follow.
On 1 June, former MasterChef Australia winner and TV presenter Adam Liaw will unwrap his upcoming Audible Original How Taste Changed the World, set to release on 10 May. Adam will take a fascinating global journey through the five tastes, change the way audiences think about their palates, and teach the foundations that underpin what tastes good.
On 8 June, TV personality Melissa Doyle will discuss her thought-provoking Audible Original podcast Age Against the Machine, dissecting how our world views, and handles the ageing process of women, and advocating for the achievement of career goals regardless of life stage.
Finally, on 15 June writer and filmmaker Laura Nagy and award-winning journalist Marc Fennell, will discuss their respective Audible Original podcasts Pillow Talk; and It Burns and Nut Jobs. Together they’ll tackle some of the quirkiest stories and pop culture trends from around the globe; from the intimate world of ASMR to competitive chilli eating.
Held at University of Technology Sydney’s Great Hall, tickets are available on 16 March for $10 via the links below.
