Staying focused and strong, the Orange Is The New Black star is instead tightening those taut abs and toning the biceps ahead of what could be her big Hollywood breakthrough.
The 29-year-old posted these impressive pics of her working out for her new role alongside Keanu Reeves in the sequel to his 2014 action hit, John Wicks.
“Training for John Wick with @murphyfitness,” the heavily tattooed Ruby captioned the pics that showed her lifting weights and lunging.
“I keep looking for roles to play a couch potato but no luck! Tanned in winter thanks @fakebakeusa @muatanyapp LOL.”
After two years together Ruby and Phoebe called it quits just a few weeks after holidaying in Sydney.
“Our break is not the result of any media speculation, and we want nothing but the best for each other. Thank you for respecting our privacy in this very difficult time,” Ruby said in a statement.
But the next day Ruby broke her silence on her Twitter account, tweeting directly at the account for Phoebe’s clothing line, Faircloth & Supply.
“@FAIRCLOTHSUPPLY remains very dear to my heart,” she writes. “I will forever treasure our time together. I’m a better person because of all we shared.”
In response, Phoebe, 27, tweets back, “You have brought me to my best and I will always love you. I can’t wait to see what the future brings for us.”
But don’t expect Ruby to try to cover up the tattoo below showing her affection for Phoebe. As she tells The Carousel in in this exclusive video, all her 45+ tattoos have their place and a special story to tell, even those referencing her product endorsements.
Although the intensive gym workouts are undoubtedly helping Ruby through the split, the model, DJ and actress was also seen clutching a copy of Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist as she headed through LAX.
One of the best selling books of all time, the novel is considered to be a self-help book about finding one’s destiny.
The fifth most Googled person of 2015 can also take comfort in knowing she has her share of impassioned fans for support.
She also recently posted a video on her Instagram of one trying to pull her into the crowd, forcing security to step in and pry her away.
The 29-year-old shared a short video of the incident later that night, showing the closure of her show at Exchange nightclub with explosions of confetti.
“They don’t want you to have your arm, they say you don’t need your arm,” added with a laugh-crying emoji.
