The beaming couple has just bought a four-bedroom terrace for around $1.38 million at an exclusive and luxury development in Lake Macquarie, 90 minutes north of Sydney.
The former Aussie cricket captain and his wife are the first to buy at the waterfront Trinity Point hideaway, which is expected to become a weekend haven for Sydney A-listers.
Michael is a project ambassador, along with popular local star Jennifer Hawkins.
“I think Trinity Point is going to be really special,” says Jennifer on the development’s website.
“To have a destination that people can visit, live and also escape from their busy lives is something that truly appeals to me.”
The $388 million project will feature a 250-apartment precinct once finished in 2017, and will also boast a 188 berth marina, a five star hotel, retail stores, and a luxury day spa.
Meanwhile, Michael, 34, says Kelsey Lee will remain in hospital for the next few weeks after she was born five weeks premature via an emergency caesarean at Prince of Wales hospital in Sydney.
“I brought Kyly home on the weekend. Our little girl will still be in hospital for a few weeks I think,” he told The Today Show.
“She’s in special care and she’s in great hands. The nurses have been unbelievable and I guess this is such a big part of why I’m sailing from Sydney to Hobart – to try and raise money to buy more machines that our daughter is on.”
Michael says he’ll never forget the precious moment he first held his baby daughter in his arms.
“I almost didn’t want to let go of her. Because obviously she’s so little, you’re just really protective and want to make sure she’s healthy.
“I’m just counting the little fingers and the little toes, but she’s fantastic.”
The couple has so far only released this black and white photo of their little girl’s tiny hand intertwined with their fingers, but Michael reckons she takes after him.
“I feel for her because she looks like her father at this stage so I’m hoping that changes for her and she looks like her mother when she gets older.”
