The divisive former Bachelor contestant had barely slapped on the insect repellent in the South African jungle before The Daily Telegraph was sharing news of her search for cosmetic perfection.

The 31-year-old boutique owner admits she’s had “lots of work done”, including having her ears pinned back, breast augmentation, liposuction in her armpits to prevent sweating, skin peels and Botox injections.

“There are some people who are the ambassadors for living healthy and staying beautiful and I am the ambassador for how to party and pull it off,” laughs the playful brunette.

“I’ve had quite a few cheeky little nips and tucks. My forehead still moves but my frown lines don’t.

Laurina admits she also receives scar reduction injections to help reduce a prominent scar on her stomach left behind from a bowel obstruction surgery.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, the fashion model turned reality star described the stomach procedure as so painful that it left her bedridden for six weeks.

“When I was a baby I had a twisted intestine, which is pretty much a bowel obstruction, and because the intestine twists up nothing can pass through and you get really bad cramps and inflammation,” says Laurina.

“They cut me open and I have this big scar on my tummy since I was a baby but for some reason 30 years later the scar tissue inside my gut from that operation caused another adhesion.”

The Pialia Boutique business-owner also has three keyhole scars on the side of her body, which were caused during the first unsuccessful operation.

Further complications from the condition stopped her from competing in I’m  A Celebrity last year, just four days before shooting began, she says.

“Hopefully they won’t make me eat anything too foul that causes it to happen again.”

Laurina earlier admitted that she was also called in to interview for The Bachelorette, but says she was unable to commit to saying on national television that finding love was her number one priority.

“They said to me, ‘How are we going to convince Australia that you’re here to find love and not just to promote your business?’

“And I said, ‘what’s wrong with admitting that you get other good perks out of an experience like that?’ I’m not ashamed to admit that.”

Meanwhile, fellow jungle contestant Shane Warne has gone on a charm offensive to quash rumours that have surfaced since his 11th hour arrival on set.

He says the rumoured $2 million payday for I’m A Celebrity is fanciful, to the say the least, and there are no contract clauses excluding him from being anywhere near spiders. Shane is a well-known arachnophobic.

Shane also refutes there is anything untoward behind the recent winding down of his charity, the Shane Warne Foundation.

Both he and fellow contestant Brendon Fevola are pledging to donate the winner-take-all prize of $100,000 to the charity before the shutters are closed for good.
