The couple has listed their stunning hilltop hinterland property near Byron Bay for $3.7million – three years after buying it for $2million.
The four-bedroom property comes with an outdoor shower, courtyard and sweeping views of the coastal line, taking in everything from the iconic lighthouse and Julian Rocks to Mt Warning.
“From the moment you arrive atop St Helena hill you will know you’ve found the one,” the marketing says.
“Overlooking hundreds of rolling green acres, this is a truly special parcel of land and you will be King of the Castle.”
One of the biggest selling points of the 8600 square-metre, two-bathroom home, is the lounge, which features floor-to-ceiling windows offering an unrivaled view of the area.
Outside are two parking spaces alongside a sweeping patio with an outdoor dining set. A courtyard and outdoor shower are among other alfresco dining extras.
The property’s kitchen comprises of white wooden cabinets with steel finishes, while most of the floors throughout are stone.
Each of the bedrooms has been painted white, with one filled with children’s furniture.
Shelley, 39, lives in the property with her real estate husband, Christian, and their two daughters.
Shelley reportedly started renovations between the end of The Block‘s Sky High series and the start of the Glasshouse.
So while “sitting around twiddling my thumbs I thought, ‘Why not start a new project’, which was to buy a new house and do a renovation,” she said back in late 2013.
She quickly painted the whole inside, tore up all carpets and flooring and polished the concrete and also moved a few walls around.
Christian told the Daily Mail it was time to move closer into town for the sake of the children.
“We [Shelly and Christian] both have very itchy feet, so we will always change…move into something and see how we like it and try and give the girls a base,” he says.
The couple tied the knot in a 2009 beach ceremony after Shelley met Christian while he was working as a cameraman for Channel Nine.
The pair moved into the hilltop property in early 2013 after selling another house in the area for $1.5million, $100,00 less than they paid for it.
The five-bedroom house in the suburb of Ewingsdale was where they had first raised daughters Eadie and Millia before buying their St Helena’s Hill home.
