How Celebrities Get That Red Carpet Body!

It should come as no surprise that these celebs work day and night to get their red carpet bod. Eager for the best results, they’re often the first to try out the hottest trends which are often born in Los Angeles .

Here’s some celeb favourite workouts to keep themselves in tip top shape:

Air Aerial Fitness

Hanging upside down is one way to get the blood pumping. If you’ve always wanted to unleash your inner acrobat (and aren’t scared of flipping upside down) AIR is the perfect workout for you. The class uses hanging silks for exercises that vary from boot camp moves – think burpees while suspended in the air – to tricks like doing a midair split.

Who’s tried this? Sarah Hyland, Jamie Chung.

Soul Cycle

Imagine stepping into a dark room and surrounding yourself in candles – dressed in lycra. You’re not about to have a massage, you’re about to launch into a 45-minute spin class which makes you feel like you’re at a dance party. Don’t be intimidated by the dark room – the lack of light allows you to focus only on yourself and get lost in the beat.

Who’s tried this? Oprah, Alessandria Ambrossio, Lady Gaga, Reese Witherspoon, Katie Holmes, Vanessa Hudgens, Demi Lovato, and even our very own Dominic Bowden can’t stay away!

Sandbox Fitness

Training on sand is incredibly difficult but effective at shifting those pounds. Sandbox Fitness offers a series of workouts in their massive 600 square foot indoor sandbox away which use the natural resistance of special sand to maximise each workout.  Who’s tried this? A number of celebs, but at the moment their names are still top secret!

Runyon Canyon

A favourite for pretty much everyone who lives in (and visits) Los Angeles. Runyon is a popular trail for celeb spotting, although you cross paths with countless stunning, tanned and shirtless locals. Give yourself anywhere from 30 minutes for a quick jog to 90 minutes to reach the top and take in the magnificent viewpoints. Enjoy the Hollywood sign and Griffith Observatory through to the Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard. Even Catalina Island can be seen on a clear day.

Who’s tried this? Channing Tatum, Justin Bieber, Amanda Seyfried and Natalie Portman, Khloe Kardashian, Scarlett Johansson, Sean Penn, Owen Wilson literally too many to name!

Barry’s Bootcamp

This outfit lets you choose your class based on your problem areas – or if you’re truly brave, sign up for a full-body class. The one-hour interval training classes alternate between running on a treadmill and doing strength-training exercises that utilise various equipment, including free weights, resistance bands and medicine balls.

Who’s tried this? Jake Gyllenhaal, Kim Kardashian, Ellie Goulding, Katie Holmes, Jessica Biel, Sandra Bullock, Carrie Underwood, Amanda Seyfried.

Rise Nation

Going back to basics, this class utilises a climbing machine to give you a total body workout, in just 30 minutes – perfect if you’re short on time but want to break a serious sweat. The dark atmosphere, color-changing lights and loud music make you feel like you’re in a nightclub! Expect to climb on average between 1,500 to 3,000 ft – the height of Mt Ruapehu.

Who’s tried this? Hilary Duff, Ashley Greene.
