Tammy Hembrow is an Australian fitness expert who has over 11 million followers on Instagram. She released her app, Tammy Fit, which provides in-depth guided fitness programs and exercises. Now, her app has launched the Smoothie Bar – giving users a whole new side of fitness. Focusing more on the nutrition side, Smoothie Bar provides an extensive variety of recipes for delicious and healthy smoothies.
The recipes are from Sydney naturopath and nutritionist Maddie Bingham who approached Tammy with the hopes of collaborating.
“I’m delighted to be sharing my knowledge and recipes – and we could all do with an immune booster right now,”
said Maddie Bingham
Some of the smoothies that have been added to the app include:
- Strawberry Smoothie Bowl
- Berrylicious Smoothie Parfait
- Papaya Smoothie Boat
- Matcha and Coconut Smoothie
- Moccha Smoothie
- Snickers Smoothie
- Tropical Smoothie
Since the lockdown, Tammy Fit workouts have more than doubled with the app itself having been downloaded more than 55,000 times in the last month.
To get you started, here’s a recipe for the Green Goddess smoothie:
“The Green Goddess smoothie is incredibly nutritious. It’s full of healthy fats from the avocado, and hemp seeds which are great for hormonal health, as well as keeping your skin, nails and hair looking vibrant,”
explains Maddie Bingham
The smoothie is also “rich in antioxidants from the mango, spinach and pineapple.” The pineapple can aid with digestion and your immune system thanks to an enzyme called Bromelain.
Not only delicious and healthy but also leaves you satisfied. It’s a great option for a quick breakfast.
You’ll need:
- Frozen pineapple
- Frozen mango
- Ripe avocado
- Spinach
- Almond Milk
- Hemp seeds
You can download the app here for free for iOS and here for Android with the option to pay for in-app subscriptions of one month, quarterly or full-year subscription.
