Summer is in full force and the weather has flipped its switch from cool to hot so it’s time to start thinking of fresh, cool desserts.
Kicking off our series of quick, no bake Summertime desserts is this gorgeous chocolate mousse with edible chocolate bowls!
Making chocolate mousse can be a time consuming exercise (although definitely well worth it) but if you’re strapped for time and want something quick, light and easy to whip up, then this decadent 2 ingredient chocolate mousse recipe is your new best friend
No Bake Chocolate Mousse
INGREDIENTS
600ml whipping cream (35% milk fat)
200g dark chocolate (or milk!)
Fresh raspberries & mint to garnish
Chocolate Bowls
300g melted dark COMPOUND chocolate (compound chocolate doesn’t contain the ingredient cocoa butter)
100g melted white chocolate
METHOD
1 Combine 100ml cream and chocolate and microwave for 30 second intervals, stirring in between until the chocolate has completely melted
2 Allow to cool until the chocolate mixture is no longer hot – warm is fine
3 Semi-whip your cream – don’t fully whip it at this point, beat until it just barely starts to hold its own shape.
4 Pour in the chocolate mixture and continue to beat until the two are combined and the cream is fully whipped.
