Warm Chocolate Melting Cake

This delicious recipe comes from the kitchens of wonderful cruise ship, the Carnival Spirit. Whilst being a guest on board, food writer Anne Marie Cummins, indulged in this decadent dessert and asked for the recipe immediately.

Serves 4

INGREDIENTS

170g dark chocolate
170g butter
4 eggs
90g sugar
60g flour

METHOD
1 Melt the chocolate and butter.
2 Mix the eggs and sugar and whisk for a few minutes, add flour.
3 Add the egg and flour, and mix to the melted chocolate and stir to combine
4 Pour the mix in a small ramekin
5 Bake in the oven at 200C for 14 minutes.

Cook’s notes: Make sure the eggs are at room temperature and the chocolate is warm enough while making the mixture.
