After her rise in stardom with Bardot, Sophie Monk has had an incredible career as a singer, actor and radio presenter. Plus, she’s been constantly ranked in the top 100 of of FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women and Maxim’s Hot 100.
In our video, Glenn Nutley gives us a step by step guide to his beauty makeover with the glamorous star.
Glenn Nutley: Today we are here with the beautiful Sophie Monk and we are going to be doing a story with glamorous top and bottom eyelashes and top and bottom eyeliner.
I’m just covering the entire lid with a base shadow, which is a couple of shades lighter than the skin tone, and I’m just using a small blending brush.
So now I’m taking an eye shadow brush with just this NARS tote color with a little bit of brown mixed into it just to give us a little definition in the socket line.
Now I’m taking a white shimmer and just putting it on the mobile lid, pressing it in with this eye shadow brush.
So now I’m taking an angle brush with gel eyeliner and we are just going to lift up the lid and line across the top of the lash line.
I’m just putting these eye shadow shields under your eye.
Sophie Monk: Is that what you do so you don’t get eye shadow down your face?
Glenn Nutley: Yeah so you don’t get any fall out it catches it all for you.
Sophie Monk: Do I look hot?
Glenn Nutley: Gorgeous. I love it. We are actually going to keep this look for the photo shoot.
Sophie Monk: Done.
Glenn Nutley: So now I’m taking a small eye shadow detailing brush with some black shadow on it and we are going to start in the middle of the eye and go straight across. What I’m doing is creating is a Raquel Welsh inspired eye where the top and bottom eye liner don’t ever meet.
So now I’m going to take some water and actually remove a little bit of the shadow just to create that definition between the top and the bottom liner, and you can also correct the top liquid liner with this as well. Also in the middle in going to really open up those eyes.
Now I’m going to go in with this concealer brush and a little cream concealer underneath the eye where those tapes were.
So now I’m going to do the lashes, first I’m going to test the size of it to see if Sophie’s eye can handle the length, otherwise you might want to trim a little bit of it down but Sophie’s eye can definitely handle the length.
Ok so now with the bottom lash it really just needs to sit right in the bottom middle and then we are going to mascara to blend them in.
Sophie Monk: If gives you a doll look doesn’t it?
Glenn Nutley: Yeah it really opens up the eyes and makes you look really innocent and doll-like.
Sophie Monk: And we all know I’m innocent so this is very suited…
Glenn Nutley: Very!
I’m just using this Bret Freedman medium brown brow pencil just to fill in the gaps and then brushing it out again with this brush to make it a little bit more natural looking.
An essential part of this look is the inner eye concealer this is one that I pencil that I’d like to use in makeup forever and you just want to line the wet line of the eye and also take it out into the gap between the two eyeliners.
Now I’m mascaraing her natural lash to the false lash. Ok so now if we take a look…
Sophie Monk: Oh it’s awesome, I love lashes down the bottom. What would you call this look?
Glenn Nutley: Kind of a modern take on the Raquel Welsh eye, she definitely did those separated liners and it kind of has a bit of a dull vibe to it as well.
