A mere couple of days into PFW and we’ve already scouted some top behind-the-scenes Instagram pics and runway shots from the most delicious Parisian catwalks.

The Anthony Vaccarello FW16 show had some major cat-eye going on. The moody painted black flick was polished off with angelic silver jewels, ironically shaped liked devil horns.

Adornment and jewels are increasingly sneaking their way onto runway face charts, and master of this look, Tom Pecheux executed this perfectly. Beauty as an accessory, yes please!

Final touches at the Anthony Vaccarello show. The mix of mesh, studs and lace-ups with a mundane black sock is the punk spirit we love in Vaccarello.

No Paris Fashion Week would be complete without all-black ensembles and Vaccarello nailed it. The metal and lace-ups have not been left behind, adding power to these sleek looks.

Minimal jewellery is needed when the tailoring is this sharp, and we’re talking real minimal: one earring.

We just can’t get enough of the Vaccarello show. These glamorous sequin florals are masterfully made grungy with the mix of shaggy hair and bare faces.

These pieces are colourful, without looking clown-like, shiny without dazzling and cut to perfection. True works of art.

The Jacquemus show was another triumph, the block colours and experimental proportions are a fabulous quirky balance. A collection that yells at your inner youth to have fun with your wardrobe.

Jacquemus also showed us that bright colours and metallics can work, and that cool weather is no excuse to chuck the summer dresses out – just wear them over the top!

“Oversized” has been reinvented, shoulder straps are way above the shoulders and we are seeing a playful adaptation of overly long sleeves.

Portugese model Sara Sampan arrives at Paris Fashion Week in style, braving the European chill with a fab colour block shaggy coat. (And big sunnies and a Parisian pout, of course).

The Dries Van Noten AW16 collection rouses a real animal instinct vibe. We’re talking makeup that’s not polished or glamorous, slicked hair that’s slightly out of place and animal prints and textures in vivid colours.

Dries Van Noten added some stripes to the mix for an urban feel. The contrast of the city and the wild is a clash made in heaven.
