Kate Waterhouse Talks Style & Beauty

As the daughter of Australian racing royalty, Kate Waterhouse is no stranger to the media spotlight. Away from the racetrack, Kate is a journalist, media personality, television presenter, radio talent and columnist for The Sun-Herald.

I sat down with Kate to chat about how her fashion style has evolved since becoming a mother and her exciting role in season two of Fashion Bloggers.

What does a day in the life of Kate Waterhouse involve?

Everyday is different… It starts with getting my daughter ready for the day. Then we usually go for a walk or a play in the park. Usually most days are are spent at home, working on my computer otherwise I’m usually on the go – filming for Fashion Bloggers, at a shoot, a meeting or a Date with Kate interview. Everyday is different and thats what I love about my job!

You’re always on the move, what’s your trick to keeping comfy and stylish while travelling?

I’m loving Meandher brogues! They are really comfy and super stylish.

What was your favorite fashion memory from filming Fashion Bloggers so far and why?

Hanging with all the girls at Fashion Week. We are always travelling all around but it was so nice to spend the entire week together checking out all the latest trends.

What was your worst ever fashion moment?

I’ve had plenty! 🙂 Pedal pushers weren’t a good look!

How has your fashion style changed since having your baby girl Sophia?

So much! I find myself looking for more comfort over style when purchasing a new items and I wear flats a lot more now.

What is your style uniform?

Jeans, white T and a black blazer.

Being a mum must mean you’re very busy all the time. Are there some multi-tasking beauty products you love to use?

I love good skin so I use a moisturiser from the Clinic. I wear Armani luminous silk foundation and MAC strobe cream. they are my go-to’s!

Eyeliner and mascara seems to be your go-to look… what products do you use, and why do you like each of them?

Lancome Eyeliner – it’s a great black and ModelCo mascara – It gives great volume… I particularity love their Fat Lash.

Your last purchase was… A few Skin and Threads items from my recent collaboration – I purchased them to give to a few of my friends.
Your favourite wardrobe staple is… A tailored black blazer
Your favourite place in the world is… Taormina, Sicily
Your favourite thing to do on the weekend is… Go to the beach with my husband and daughter.
Your favourite label is… Balenciaga.
