His dulcet tones on everything from The Shawshank Redemption to Bruce Almighty have a sense of comfort and all-knowingness, that make us feel he’s someone we can really put our faith in.
At least that’s what the makers of Google’s free navigation app, Waze, are hoping.
The most sought-after narrator in Hollywood has lent his million-dollar voice to the app to help you navigate your way to that next meeting, or new mall.
But you better be quick. The partnership is a promotional tool for his new movie London Has Fallen, in which he plays the US Vice President.
The action flick is released on March 4, so there’s no guarantee he’ll be driving you around for too long. We should also warn you at this juncture, too, that Morgan stays in character in the download, so he’s addressing you as if you’re the president.
Arnold Schwarzenegger (as his Terminator character), Kevin Hart, Stephen Colbert, and C-3PO from Star Wars have also appeared as voice options on Waze for a limited period of time only.
If for some reasons you haven’t already, download Waze app and switch to Morgan by going to the settings in the app, then Sound > Voice Language > Morgan Freeman. Enjoy it before it ends!
