Chadstone Shopping Centre in Melbourne is hosting 10 days of events designed to give people ‘fitspiration’ in the lead up to Rio, held outside David Jones on the lower level between June 17 and 26.
But why we are happy to give this a massive shout out is that all proceeds from the event go to the Australian Paralympic Committee.
So what can you expect? Well, firstly, you can meet a real-life Olympian. Mack Horton will be making an appearance on June 18 between 1-2pm to discuss his training and fitness regime when he’s in and out of the water as he prepares for Rio, where he intends to go for Gold.
The 20-year-old long distance swimmer bagged the fastest time in the world this year for the 400m freestyle and second place in the 1500m. He’s got a good chance of bringing home gold for Australia. So here’s your chance to get some fitness inspiration from a true Australian Sports star?

There are a range of other events you can participate in, all designed to inspire and motivate a fit and healthy lifestyle.
On Sunday, June 19, there is a mindfulness workshop, supported by Lululemon and Pressed Juices.
World Yoga Day is on June 21, so get ready for your salutations to the sun, head down and join in with the celebrations of the ancient Indian practice of Yoga. There is also a bookable yoga session at 7;30am with Lululemon.

On Saturday, June 21 from 1-2pm get some new ideas for healthy recipes as model, author, blogger Laura Henshaw of Keeping It Cleaner gives a cooking demonstration with some great healthy recipes and snacking tips.
And on Thursday, June 23, you can book some well deserved R&R and book between 9am-9pm a ‘Rio Rester’ package with Endota Spa.
Finally, you can arm up on June 24, with the T2 Winter Warmers pop-up.

Either way it will be a fun event to check out for all ages and is a great way to get into the spirit for Rio.
