Ah, another Fashion Week is upon us. As always, we look to the catwalk for some at-home hair inspiration.

Time to chop and change; these are the three trends we’ll be adding to our spring hair routine. Tousle up.

Scrunched-up Waves at Alexander Wang

The surf was up at Alexander Wang, with messy, undone, super-scrunchy waves to match his beached aesthetic. Simply load up your locks with a sea salt spray before bed and leave in a plait overnight. Time to ride that swell, dude.

Belted Ponytails at Tibi

It was all business at the front – with simple middle-parts – and at the back, the pony party was alive and kickin’. Aveda head stylist, Frank Rizzieri, opted for a modern take on the classic low pony by affixing the D-ring and buckle belts featured in the Tibi show to sleek, straight ponytails; talk about tying in to the collection. Simply smooth hair with Aveda’s Damage Remedy Split End Repair for that extra polish, gather at the nape of the neck, secure with two clear elastics and wrap a belt around the pony for the ultimate cool cred.

Wet Top-knots at Thakoon

Warning; slippery roads (or runways) ahead. Wet hair is a thing again, and Thakoon executed the trend with a strong sense of cool for his New York Fashion show. Hair honcho Odile Gilbert envisioned a bronzed, beached, 80s Yasmin Le Bon as his hair muse for the wet bun look (we can almost taste the pina coladas). The super shiny buns came high and knotted, with a curly point of difference; a single, slicked curl which twirled around the face and hung low with sexy overtones. Show off your buns by applying big dollops of Kerastate Crème de la Crème to the hair and drench accordingly. Slick, twist (up) and roll.
