It’s been a while since we’ve seen a lot of red carpet action, so we thought we’d take a look at some of the more outlandish outfits of years gone by. Prepare for some shockers.
Charli XCX
Where do we start?! Wearing a white suit is a ballsy manoeuvre. Add satin to the equation and that’s just downright insane. You know, if you’ve gone that far, you might as well chuck in a pink bow tie and a fur stole too. Just go for it.
Miley Cyrus
She has become famous for her wacky style choices, and whilst we applaud the creativity and the confidence, this piece from the 2015 MTV VMA’s is just unforgivable.
Madonna
She has always been a fan of racy outfits, however we thought that at a more mature age, she’d have hung those all up. But no, on the red carpet one year at the Grammys she graced us with yet another inappropriate outfit.
Lady Gaga
Okay. We can explain. Obviously she was doing some quick washing up before she left home and left the gloves on! Let’s hope she won’t make that mistake again.
Bleona
This one, however, we cannot explain. Bleona has absolutely earned her spot, alongside Madonna, on the list of bad Grammy ensembles. The torso of a metal mannequin and tail of a platypus? Why would you want to look like that?
Iggy Azalea
Apologies Iggy, we are really sorry to be the ones to tell you, but your dress looks remarkably like an over-sized feather duster. If you need a second opinion next time, just give us a call. We’re here to help.
Rihanna
Obviously Rihanna was taking style inspiration from household items too. Lampshade? Yeah that’s the one. It breaks our heart to feature Rihanna on the worst list, she’s a style queen, but this was just way too bad.
Ariana Grande
Hair and beauty on point, but the dress? Way to ruin a look. It seems like the white fabric ran out, so she nicked someone’s silver handkerchief to fill in the gap. Bad idea…
Joy Villa
Yet another Grammys shocker, this plastic orange dress is unbelievable. This is the stuff you see on the streets, when they corner off an area for road works. Maybe the stylist bailed on Joy last minute so she asked the tradies next door to whip her up a dress real-quick.
Dencia
We saved the best ‘til last, naturally. This is offensive to the eyeballs. The visor makes sense though, you do have to squint to look at that outfit. Even if we put all the colour aside, what made Dencia think socks and peep toe heels were OK? That’s a basic rule. Come on!
