If you’re looking for the ultimate glamorous Noosa beach holiday, but you’re also keen to be in the thick of the fabulous shopping hub of Hastings Street, then Seahaven is absolute perfection.

For starters, there’s easy access to Noosa’s main beach via a gate beside one of swimming pools. If it’s your first time to Noosa, be aware that the main beach is very much a family beach – it’s not for surfers. In fact, it’s one of only four beaches in Australia that’s north-facing, meaning that it’s swimmable for most of the year, missing much of those chilly winter winds.

It’s an incredibly clean and safe place for families and the wooden boardwalk that hugs the beach makes it a great place for a morning walk. One you’ve walked the length of the beach you can continue up to the national park which is a great place to explore; if only for the spectacular views when you reach the top of the hill.

Noosa and Hastings Street has always been known as the glamorous end of town and Seahaven embodies everything that’s so wonderful about the location; beautiful scenery and a great choice of fine restaurants nestled in between very affordable cafes.

Holiday makers often talk about the great shopping in Noosa and it truly deserves its reputation for high quality retail therapy; from the great range of surf shops, designer clothing stores and beautiful homeware shops.

Seahaven recently enjoyed a multi-million dollar renovation and is now a testament to stunning contemporary architecture, paired with luxury fittings and amenities.

The resort takes up a sizeable chunk of the beach front – and, when you step outside the door on the street-side, you’re right in the middle of Hastings St. So, you’ve really got the best of both worlds: swimming/water views on one side, and retail therapy/fabulous cafes on the other!

Seahaven Resort is made up of 68 self-contained apartments and rooms. The beachfront apartments and rooftop penthouses enjoy perfectly uninterrupted beach front views. The refurbishment managed to maintain the property’s original structure of a three-part building and it’s been designed to cater for couples, families or those on business trips. (Although how anybody could fully focus on business in stunning Noosa is beyond me!)

There are four rooftop penthouses, each complete with a six-person spa pool and a large deck with chairs and a long table– perfect for entertaining. The one or two bedroom self-contained penthouses include full kitchens, laundry, spa-bath and barbecue. Each of the four penthouses also includes a private rooftop terrace complete with the spa, outdoor shower and a very spacious outdoor setting.

We were lucky enough to stay in a penthouse, which was just incredibly luxurious. Inside, the furniture is simple yet beautiful; a massive lounge suite, designer kitchen with ample space for cooking and marble benches which are perfect for spreading out paper work or using for meal preparation. The double bedroom is set back from the balcony yet, at night, the sound of the nearby waves is enough to gently lull you to sleep.

The ground-level apartments include nearby grassed courtyards with direct beach access through two convenient gates that lead directly to Noosa Main Beach. There’s also a communal beachfront barbecue and pool area.

The rest of Seahaven is made up of beachfront apartments; a choice of one or two bedrooms, which is fine for couples or families. Each apartment features a kitchen, laundry facilities, spa-bath and barbecue on the balcony. You’ve got a choice of upper level panoramic views north over Laguna Bay or ground floor apartments with a courtyard and direct access to the pools and beach.

There are also the ‘Hasting Street Suites’ with views over the vibrant main street. These suites have king beds, a lounge room, dining settings, kitchenette, laundry facilities. Or you can stay in one of the studio rooms, also with king beds, kitchenette and dining setting. (Balcony studio rooms are available on request.)

From your penthouse, you can walk through the communal beachfront barbecue and pool area to the gate on the beachfront.

While it was tempting to fire up the barbecue, it’s difficult to resist the multitude of culinary delights downstairs – grab a pre-dinner drink at the Noosa Beach House (directly opposite the Seahaven) then if you’re in a casual mood, visit Betty’s Burgers for the best burgers we’ve ever tasted (seriously!) – or just walk down the street until you find a restaurant that appeals to you – try Bistro C on the beachfront, La Vida, Sails Restaurant and the fabulous Café Le Monde (fantastic for fish and chips!)

Staying at Seahaven is as effortless as being in your own home but with all the glamour and sophistication of a five-star hotel. You can’t beat this location and while plenty of places boast about being beachfront – few can truly claim to have both the beach and a popular shopping and restaurant hub right on their doorstep.
