We’re seeing sultry nights, vistas so blue it hurts the eyes, gelato so mouth-watering I can feel the pounds piling on just looking at it, fashion that is credibly on trend and summer-worthy it’s got us pining for warmer days and a summer of our very own.

It’s hot right now – and we’re not just talking about the temperature!

The Amalfi Coast is in Italy’s southwestern region of Campania, which is most famous for its incredible beauty and is one of Italy’s top tourist destinations.

The gorgeous coastline has stunning vistas, shimmering bays, cliffs, lemon tree gardens and the most beautiful multi-colored villas. It’s one of those places where need to pinch yourself once you are there, just to make sure you aren’t dreaming.  It’s hard to believe such a place exists.

One of the most popular, and romantic towns, along the Amalfi Coast is Positano.

If you love romance, beautiful scenery, incredible food and want to hang out with the jet-set. Positano is the place to go in Italy.

But who needs a guide book when you have Instagram flooded with gorgeousness from our very own Insta-celebs?

Trust me, Instagram is packed with images of Italy, hot-bloggers hanging out (looking ultra-stylish and dripping in Zimmerman, Spell and Camilla), funny couple Zoe Foster Blake and Hamish Blake along with their adorable bub (who’s a star in his own right), Anna Heinrich and Tim Robards bring some spunk to the place.

The best time to visit the Amalfi Coast is from April to August, so lots of time to plan ahead for this time next year.

Most concerts and festivals are held in the high season which is July and August (when it’s hotter, usually around 29 degrees!) and it’s also when the international jet-set anchor their yachts off the coast. Great people watching!

Top 10 Italian Tourist Destinations

Apart from marvel at the scenery, soak up the atmosphere, eat fresh pasta, sample gelato we’d also suggest walking the Sentiero degli Innamorati from Spiaggia Grande to the beach of Fornillo, treating yourself to a pair of made-to-measure sandals.

How great is that! Your very own, made to measure Italian sandals – that’s bragging rights. Also make your way up to the secret hamlet of Nocelle to discover the Panorama of the Gods.

How about a villa of your very own? Live like a local and soak up the atmosphere. There are a number of private villas for rent to suit everyone’s budget, and numerous websites to help you out.

But for the best information, head to Instagram – check it out first hand, there’s no better inspiration.
