Fun Things To Do In Sydney This December

The silly season is nearly upon us and with that comes an abundance of fun activities that we can do in the lead up to the festive season. Here are some of our top picks for December in Sydney.

Flow Athletic Fun Run- December 10

Flow Athletic, one of Sydney’s favourite fitness and yoga studios is hosting their own fun run on December 10, 2022 at Centennial Park in partnership with McGrath Real Estate Paddington. 

There will be a 5km and 10km distance options, tickets are $10 and all profits go to Kookaburra Kids who aim to deliver their services to young people impacted by  family mental illness with the aim of empowering them to build resilience, lifelong knowledge and abilities so they can reach their potential.

Rufus Du Sol comes to Sydney- December 2 and 3

If you are a music lover, Rufus Du Sol will be playing out outdoor venues across Australia, putting on a spectacular show to celebrate their fourth album. They will be playing at The Domain in Sydney on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 of December 2022.

Noel Christmas Market at the Royal Botanical Gardens- From December 9

The NOEL Christmas markets will kick off on December 9th – 24 this this year at Sydney’s Royal Botanical Gardens. The gardens will feature a beautiful Christmas light display and there will be a number of activations to enjoy. Everyone is welcome. 

Sydney’s Open for Lunch– December 3

Australia’s favourite chefs including Luke Mangan, Kylie Kwong, Palisa Anderson and Mike McEnearney will come together for a culinary experience to remembers on December 3 with events to be hosted at  Sydney’s George Street and YCK Laneways, South Eveleigh and Parramatta Square.

The George Street event will see the street being closed down to host 600 diners for a three-course plated lunch. Live entertainment will include George Ellis Orchestra featuring Josh Pyke, George Maple, Brendan Maclean and Liyah Knight plus the Hot Potato Band, with onsite Airstream bars. 12pm-3pm, tickets $60.

Jack Johnson will be playing at the Sydney Opera House- December 5 and 6

For those who like the chilled tunes of Jack Johnson, he will be taking to the Sydney Opera House on December 5th and 6th to play a not-to-be-missed gig which will be supported by Ziggy Alberts.
