Elise Strachan’s Delicious Dessert Show Airing In April

Elise Strachan

Elise Strachan, creator and founder of the popular YouTube channel My Cupcake Addiction with over 3 million subscribers, is presenting a new mouth-watering series on SBS called “The Sweet Life with Elise Strachan”.

The two-part series sees Elise, who is also a contributor for The Carousel, explore a delicious range of desserts online made in Australia by a selection of multicultural experts. “Why settle for ice-cream, pavlova and cheesecake, when you could instead have knafeh, kakigōri or a banana and cheese brulee?” said Josh Martin, SBS Commissioning Editor for Food.

From #JellyArt to #GiantBrioche, Elise shows the audience how to recreate these sweet and colourful desserts with the help of talented local innovators who are reinventing the classics from their home countries.

Enjoy creative twists on your favourite classic desserts from some of the most renowned foodies in Australia and around the world including 2016 runners up of the hit cooking show, My Kitchen Rules, Tasia & Grecia Seger who make their own version of the classic Brûlée; Chef Phi Nguyen and his Japanese frozen favourite, Kakigōri; and French pastry Chef, Vicent Gadan’s Chocolate Spheres to name a few.
