GIVIT is a national, online, not-for-profit organisation matching generosity with genuine need to make huge, positive impacts across Australia. It is an easy way of donating directly to people and communities in need.
Juliette Wright OAM, the founder and director of GIVIT, recently announced that The Duchess of Cornwall accepted GIVIT’s invitation to be their Patron. She said GIVIT is incredibly honoured and grateful The Duchess of Cornwall accepted its invitation to become their Patron.
The Duchess of Cornwall supports over 90 charities as either Patron or President. Her Royal Highness’s charity work has several themes – health; literacy; animals; food; heritage; the arts; supporting victims of rape, sexual abuse and domestic violence and empowering women.
The Duchess’s advocacy will enable GIVIT to continue providing practical support to those people and communities affected by everyday hardships including GIVIT’s national indigenous support programme, the recent catastrophic bushfires, ongoing drought and the economic repercussions of the Coronavirus crisis.
GIVIT works with all levels of government and over 3,200 registered charities and community groups to manage donations and ensure people have access to essential items. If you wish to help Australians impacted by the recent bush fires or Coronavirus, you can donate via GIVIT.org.au. 100% of donated funds received by GIVIT will be used to purchase vouchers and urgently needed items, from local businesses where possible.
