The Big Short star, 35, has us all hot and bothered, yet again, after being snapped saving this puppy in Palm Springs, California, where he and partner Eva Mendes were celebrating her 42nd birthday.
While others simply drove on ignoring the distressed dog’s plight, Ryan pulled over on the side of the busy highway without a moment’s hesitation.
He dashed over to rescue the stranded pooch, scooping it up from harm’s way before returning the little fella to its relieved owner.
The White Knight role clearly comes naturally to the Canadian star.
He previously made headlines for breaking up a fight and saving a woman from an oncoming taxi.
In 2000 he also adopted a dog, George, from a Los Angeles animal shelter, later describing the pet as the “great love of his life”.
Then, just three years ago, he wrote a blog post for HuffPost Canada advocating for better living conditions for pigs on industrial farms.
Can anyone really be this perfect?
All in a day’s work for humble Ryan who says he gets the biggest kick nowadays out of being a hero to his now 17-month-old daughter Esmeralda, and long-time love Eva.
“I know that I’m with the person I’m supposed to be with,” he said of his love of five years.
“She’s Eva Mendes. There’s nothing else I’m looking for.”
