The 30-year-old Orange Is the New Black and xXx: The Return of Xander Cage actress was kicked out of the Rebellion Bar and Urban Kitchen for throwing a hot chip at a bartender.
Rose addressed the incident on Facebook.
“Fry-day the 13th,” she writes. “My assistant, tour manager and myself arrived at an establishment last night for dinner before my show in New Orleans. We waited 60 minutes for fries and over 90 minutes for food that never actually arrived. When I asked about it, the bartender offered us drinks. I explained I’m sober, but thank you.”
“He then made some really rude and vulgar comments to the table.
“When someone makes repeated derogatory jokes about the sobriety I worked so hard to achieve, it’s hard not to react emotionally. So I threw a singular fry at him. Then he came back as we were getting ready to leave and continued making awful comments, so I continued with the fries.”
The restaurant owner, Seung Hong, told NOLA.com Rose had “cursed out” the bartender and had “like a tantrum,” adding, “She was awful…she was a horrible person.”
He said the bartender initially thought the actress had thrown a fry at him by accident and that he then asked her if everything was OK.
“And she picked up a handful of French fries and threw them at him,” Hong told NOLA.com.
He said the bartender then told him fries were being tossed. Hong then asked Ruby and her group to leave and they complied.
“It was the first time I’ve ever had to ask someone to leave, and it was Ruby Rose,” he said.
