Competing at one of the most spectacular surfing contests ever hold in Australia, Felicity, 21, welcomed us to her beachside breakfast in the VIP area of the Event to watch the best female surfers take part in the first heat of the contest
“I am so stoked to surf with the best surfers in the world,” Felicity said flashing her mega watt smile.
Relaxed and confident and incredibly natural. The brand ambassador for Aussie Bodies is the full package – a shiny example of how determination and passion brings success as well as being a healthy role model for young Australians.
“The show looks promising and the surf is good,” she said speaking recently at the opening of the Aussie Bodies Women’s Pro event. “I’m really happy to be here in Manly. The show looks promising.”
Felicity has plenty of reasons to be happy. She recently re-signed with Billabong – her main sponsor – for the next 10 years. “It was my dream as a kid to be sponsored by Billabong,” she added.
“I had posters of the whole team on my walls, above my bed, everywhere I looked. Now it’s really exciting for me to be able to look ahead knowing that between Billabong and I, we have some exciting projects in store!”
A multi-talented athlete.
Apart from surfing, Felicity is also a celebrated artist and the first to exhibit at Cape Mentelle Winery in the Margaret River Region in Western Australia and she told The Carousel she particularly enjoys artistic collaborations with Billabong Women as described here.
“The question I get asked more than any other is ‘Do you consider yourself a surfer or an artist?’ But I don’t necessarily regard myself as one or the other and it’s a question I still struggle to answer at times!” she told to The Carousel. “The truth is I’m a surfer AND an artist. I’m an artist AND a surfer”
Long may this gifted surfer continues to inspire and surprise us with her sport results and her creativity.
