Has Kylie Minogue’s wretched love curse struck again?
Just days after the Aussie pop princess was on British TV breathlessly talking about her wedding plans to much younger beau Joshua Sasse, the romance has quickly soured, say new reports.
The Sun is quoting sources who are adamant that Kylie, 48, has sent Joshua, 29, packing over suspicions about his relationship with Spanish actress Marta Milans, 34, below.
“She is absolutely devastated, totally heartbroken. She really believed he was The One. But she no longer trusts him,” says the unnamed source.
British actor Joshua reportedly met and bonded with Marta last year as they shot the axed TV drama No Tomorrow in Vancouver, Canada.
According to The Sun, unlucky-in-love Kylie had a number of heated arguments with Joshua before travelling to France for Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.
Although representatives for both parties are yet to comment, the paper says Kylie decided to end things on her return, ejecting her partner – who she met in the summer of 2015 – from her plush home.
In a recent interview with YOU magazine, Kylie had revealed plans to take Joshua’s surname once they tied the knot.
She said: ‘Sasse is a great name. Kylie Sasse is a great name. It’s a great stage name. Kylie Minogue has never exactly tripped off the tongue.
“I’ll definitely be taking Sasse but there will be Minogue in there somewhere. Taking a different name makes a statement…
“Nobody wants to be Mr Minogue. It takes a very strong man to put themselves in that position and I fully appreciate that.
“The world around you sees it differently and a lot of guys can’t deal with that. When I look into Josh’s eyes, he is all I see and that makes me very happy.
“There’s a line in the movie Notting Hill that I always think of, when Julia Roberts is talking to Hugh Grant, and she says, ‘I’m just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her’. For me, it’s that simple.”
The singer insisted there was “no rush” to tie the knot as she gushed about her stunning engagement ring, which she said is “exactly the right ring” for her.
“Josh told me [the ring] was made in 1908. For me, it is perfect. I’m not the sort of girl who would wear a solitaire. He got exactly the right ring for me. I love it. I love wearing it and I love what it represents.”
The couple met in 2015, on the set of US TV show Galavant and, months later in February 2016, they publicly announced their engagement.
Kylie had previously had long-term relationships with French actor Olivier Martinez, and more recently Spanish model Andres Velencoso.
In an interview more than a decade ago with Michael Parkinson she said she regretted not getting married in her early 20s and believes she has lost the chance of marital bliss.
