Game Of Thrones Co-Stars Confirm Romance

Game Of Thrones Co-Stars Confirm Romance

After years of rumours and the occasional PDA, the Game Of Thrones co-stars took their first red carpet walk together – and they couldn’t keep their hands off each another.

Resplendent in a Malene Oddershede Bach gold gown, Rose clutched Kit’s hand tightly and even shared a kiss, much to the delight of the fans at the Olivier Awards in London.

“Kit is a lovely and funny man, and a dear friend,” Rose tells People Magazine in 2014.

“We had known each other before we started working together on Game of Thrones.

“It was always such a privilege to be working opposite him and such a blessing that we get on in real life because it made our characters more believable.”

For those who have never seen Game of Thrones, which returns to Australian screens on April 24, Kit plays Jon Snow, who is Ned Stark’s bastard son and a member of Night’s Watch.

During a mission for Lord Commander Mormont, Jon infiltrated the wildlings by pretending to forsake his Night Watch brothers. As a result, he fell in love with Rose’s character, Ygritte, a wildling woman.

Rose left the series after season four, while Kit’s character was later killed off. There has been recent speculation that Jon Snow may be making a return, but Kit put the rumours to rest during a recent interview with Jonathan Ross.

“I am no longer involved in the show so any secrets that are with the show I don’t actually know anymore,” he says.

But when Jonathan queried Kit about recently being spotted on set of season six filming, the actor became evasive.

“I was playing a corpse,” he says.

“I was there for a little bit, I was there for about a month or two months, it was spread over a bit and I was playing a corpse.”
