Everything You Need To Know About Margot Robbie

This A-list actress is doing the Aussies proud. At only 25 years old, her next two films have a combined budget of $500 million. To think that is from starting on Neighbours (which she describes as “boot camp for actors”), at only 17 years old.

The Legend of Tarzan, comes out the day before her birthday in July; she plays Jane to Alexander Skarsgård’s Tarzan.

Suicide Squad, in which she will start alongside Will Smith, Care Delevingne and Jared Leto. It is scheduled for release early August; she plays Harley Quinn.

“For the first time,” Margot told Oyster, “I thought that I had the best character in the movie. I wouldn’t trade my character in Suicide Squad for anyone else’s.”

“The comics are rad,” Margot added. “I hadn’t read any growing up, but now I’m obsessed. I read them in my own time.

Our girl knows what she is doing career-wise. Aware of the seductive nature of her role in Wolf of Wall Street, she is showing her diversity as an actor and avoiding being type-cast by searching for more realistic and grungy roles.

“I was really glammed-up in Wolf,” she told Oyster, “so I said to my team, ‘I’m never going to get anything other than that kind of glam thing now, so we need to do something where I’m dirty.’”

The flawless Margot has one thing that she doesn’t love about herself, her laugh.

“I have a horrible laugh,” she moans. “I sound like a crow protecting its young. Then you meet those girls who laugh like, ‘A-ha-ha-ha!'” Her a-ha-ha-hais a fine piece of mockery, an uncanny Valley girl laugh. “And you’re like, ‘Fuck you. Let loose. Give us a real laugh.”

Two Things That Put Margot Robbie In A Good Mood

  1. A proper swim: Originally from the Gold Coast, Margot surfs and fives and understandably hates not to be near the ocean.
  2. A cup of tea: She has five hundred bags of Dilmah, the renowned Australian Ceylon tea brand, in her hotel room.

Margot is one of the most in-demand actresses in Hollywood and weeks go by in which she spends “zero time” alone.

“I always wish I could be alone… but then as soon as I’m actually alone for more than 15 minutes, I’m in a group text, like “what’s everyone doing?”‘ she said.

She hates the “deathly quiet hotel room”, it stops her sleeping and she much prefers the soothing sounds of “doors banging and washing machines and people yelling and all that”.
