Didga the skateboarding cat
We’ve seen skateboarding dogs, but Gold Coast-based Robert Dollwet, 53, is the first to train his cat Didga (short for Didgeridoo) to ride a skateboard and it is incredibly impressive. While Robert has a remarkable 335,000 followers on Facebook alone, Didga is the real viral draw with seven million views of her epic four-wheeled adventure below, at the time of writing. “The money’s not enough to retire on or buy a new car, but it keeps us going,” says Robert.
The famous Didga also makes an appearance below in Robert’s most popular video (11.5 million views), but this time she’s traded the skateboard in for a surfboard.
Fun with ferrets
Stephanie Warzecha’s baby ferret video below has 725,000 views at the time of writing, and her channel Ferret-World, a respectable 3.5 million total views. That was enough to earn $10,000 from advertising in 2014, and the Sydney 30-year-old is confident she can grow that into a full-time operation. But, she stresses, “I’m not doing it to get rich. My passion is to help other people with ferrets.”
Baby Bat Burritos
After these baby bats lost their mothers to an extreme heat event, they were taken in by the Gold Coast’s Australian Bat Clinic. Adam Cox, who videoed these little ones below, says that he’s trying to change the bad reputation of certain animals – bats being one of them. Well, he’s certainly twisted our arm, and probably the other two million viewers too!
Tree Kangaroo Joeys
These two tree kangaroos were also rescued because they lost contact with their mothers, and wildlife carer Margit Cianelli is now preparing them for the wild. Just over 150,000 people had seen these two scramble around Margit’s house at the time of this posting. Who’d have thought a tree kangaroo eating spaghetti could be so cute?
Barking Mad!
It’s generally a given that dogs can catch, however poor Fritz is an exception. Fritz’s owner tried to get him to catch a steak, a strawberry, a chimichanga, a meatball, and more, but failed each time and nearly seven million viewers have followed Fritz’s battle. However, just when we were losing hope, in Fritz’s final attempt, he caught a single chip. Nice work buddy.
