Expert Advice On How To Improve Getting Pregnant Faster

A few simple lifestyle tweaks can help improve your chances of getting pregnant fast

As a leading fertility specialist and gynaecologist I wanted to share with you a few insider, professional medical tips of improving your chances of getting pregnant fast and having a healthy baby.

These tips are the same we use in our IVF clinic to help people who are struggling with fertility to achieve their dreams of becoming parents.

What Is Preventing You Getting Pregnant Fast?

Firstly, let’s look at what might be preventing you from getting pregnant fast. Do you smoke? Do you drink a lot of alcohol? Are you overweight? What is your exercise routine like? We know for a fact that healthier lifestyle habits and maintaining a healthy weight and good fitness levels help people on their journey to getting pregnant fast. In fact, you’d be surprised to learn that some of your seemingly harmless daily habits may actually be the key factors preventing you from getting pregnant fast. These include that glass or two of vino at the end of a long day, or even just high stress levels.

Once you’ve ruled out lifestyle habits, it’s time to take a deeper dive into what may be hindering conception. If you are having trouble conceiving after 12 months of trying, I suggest you seek consultation with a medical fertility specialist like myself (make that six months if you or your partner are over the age of 35). The specialist can test for any potential physical causes, which might include impaired sperm production and function in men and fallopian tube damage, ovulation disorders, endometriosis, PCOS and uterine conditions in women.

A few simple lifestyle tweaks might be all that’s needed to help you improve your chances of getting pregnant fast!

Fertility Preparation For Pregnancy

As fertility specialists, we advise couples (yes, both the man and the woman) to be as healthy and as fit as they can be, as this improves the chances of getting pregnant fast. This advice includes dietary and nutrition information that is specifically geared towards couples trying to conceive.

A well-balanced diet provides the body with all the essential vitamins and minerals it needs to facilitate conception. Both partners should be sure to eat lean protein with each meal, as well as plenty of nutritious whole foods. Load up on antioxidant-dense vegetables and fruits, too. In the same vein, it’s important to steer clear of processed, sugary food and drinks and anything chemical-laden. Try to eat organically, where possible.

Consider Supplements

Vitamin supplements can help both men and women improve their fertility fitness and we believe they also may help improve your chances of getting pregnant fast. For example, a woman who is trying to conceive should start taking a 500mcg supplement of Folic Acid daily, at least one month prior to conception. Folic acid is a B group Vitamin that is essential for neural tube development during the first 12 weeks of foetal growth. For guys, I recommend they increase their intake of antioxidants, selenium, zinc and garlic, as these support male fertility and sperm health.

Women trying to conceive should be taking Folic Acid at least one month prior to pregnancy and continue through to birth and breastfeeding.
Track Your Menstrual Cycle

Most women think they have a grasp on their Menstrual Cycle, and many aren’t wrong. However, it is easy to become confused. This is why tracking your cycle with a professionally devised fertility tracking kit will help improve your chances of getting pregnant fast. There are three important phases in your menstrual cycle to look out for in order to greatly improve your chances of getting pregnant fast. These include ovulation timing, hormone detecting and knowing when your window of your most fertile days are.

Fertility Tracking is a fantastic way to improve your chances of getting pregnant fast!
