Family Adventures! Hunter Valley’s Mega Creatures & Christmas Lights Spectacular

If you’re looking for a little family fun getaway, the Hunter Valley Gardens is the place to be. Known for their blooming gorgeous gardens by day, the Hunter Valley Gardens transforms into a spectacular light show by night, creating an enchanting display for young and old. The annual Christmas Lights Spectacular, which runs until January 26, 2016, has been a hit attraction for families year after year. And for the second year running, the Hunter Valley Gardens has added the Mega Creatures exhibition!

Mega Creatures Fun

Hidden beneath trees throughout the gardens the children will discover mega beetles and bugs, they can watch and listen to life-like (mechanical) dinosaurs including T-Rex, Stegosaurus and Pterodactyl on the garden plains, or, if they dare, have their photo taken with the most enormous, hairiest spider to walk the planet!

An indoor mega creatures display allows the kids to ride atop a very hungry caterpillar, have their photo taken hatching out of a dinosaur egg, and see life-like garden habits with mega sized bugs, beetles and inspects.

Jump Jack Flash Castles

And if that’s not enough, by night the children can enjoy unlimited fun on a range of jumping castles, racing car games, foosball and other games (for a flat fee of $5) until they have literally jumped out of their skin!

Light Up, Light Up Storybook time

The Christmas Lights Spectacular lights up from 7:30pm throughout the gardens, so children can enjoy both the enchanting lights and magical story themes as well as the mega creatures along one garden path.

Take the children through a magical fairyland, with beautiful light displays or fairy exhibits, mega ladybugs, brightly lit-up mushrooms and ponies. See Alice In Wonderland, polar bears and igloo displays, step back into old world nursery rhyme land as Little Bo Peep and Wee Willy Winkle and light up little one’s hearts and imaginations.

Jack Be Nimble, Families Be Quick!

The Mega Creatures Exhibition is open from 9am- to 4pm and 6.30pm-10pm daily until 26th of January 2016.

The day session is the best time to see the beautiful gardens as the creatures are featured along garden paths. The night session is the best time to see the Mega Creatures lit up along with the Christmas Lights Spectacular.

This family friendly and iconic pub is surrounded by beautiful gardens with a jumping castle, so kids can enjoy the fun after breakfast, lunch and dinner while mum and dad chill out alfresco dining! Kids receive activity packs with meals to keep them entertained, too. Pack your togs for a swim in the pool, and allow time to enjoy some wine, cheese and crackers on your porch while overlooking the beautiful vineyards just meters from your front door.
