We’ve all melted over George Clooney’s Nespresso TV ads as he beckons us to join him for a coffee. Apart from giving us a chance to enjoy looking at swoony Clooney, those advertisements, which began in 2006, first introduced us to the concept of using capsules which is now so common place.

But Nespresso is back delivering us a new dose of style thanks to their latest partnership with Italian entrepreneur Chiara Ferragni. The partnership sees Chiara transform some of the most loved Nespresso machines and accessories with her iconic look and flair.

If you haven’t heard of Chiara, she’s a disruptor, fashion designer and active supporter of female empowerment and now she can add coffee machine designer to her CV.

Speaking of her collaboration with Nespresso, Chiara Ferragni, said: “As an Italian, I am a big coffee drinker and have been a fan of Nespresso for a very long time. Nespresso really represents a contemporary way of living with its practical and smart approach to high quality coffee. This is why I am so thrilled to work on this collection, filled with fun and luxurious designs. When I first met the brand, they introduced me to a lot of initiatives regarding sustainability and recycling, that I deeply want to be a part of and contribute to in the near future.”

Recently, I’ve been road-testing the limited edition Nespresso x Chiara Ferragni Vertuo Next machine and accessories and apart from enjoying deliciously brewed coffee, I’m a big fan of  Chiara’s pale pink colours with her iconic logo on the side. It’s also a welcome style statement in my kitchen and the splash of colour gives the room a sense of fun.

The machine itself is more intuitive than I remember with my first Nespresso machines with a simple one-touch design and an ability to make coffee in a range of cup sizes. The matching limited-edition Nespresso x Chiara Ferragni Aeroccino 3 offers a quick and sleek way to prepare hot or cold milk froth. The froth is every bit as good as you get from your local barista. And the Nespresso x Chiara Ferragni Coffee Mug matches pulling the collection together. The collection includes the Nespresso x Chiara Ferragni Nomad Travel Mug which has been given a twist with Chiara’s signature Egyptian looking eye design.

There’s even a café-style quality coffee with the limited edition Nespresso x Chiara Ferragni capsule collection consisting of Bianco Leggero, Melozio, Double Espresso Chiaro and Master Origins Mexcio.

What strikes me most about using the latest Nespresso machine is how simple the process of making a cappuccino is nowadays. So clever and simple is the design that you don’t need to read the manual. And I love the partnership with an impressive woman such as Chiara too, not to mention the pop of colour in my kitchen.

Now making Nespresso coffee can be as much fun as watching George Clooney in the Nespresso ads. Well almost.
