Inside The Block Star Darren Palmer’s Stylish Sydney Home

Darren has just opened his doors to real-estate.com.au’s Australia Lives Here web series.

No surprise that his newly-restored home in Sydney’s upmarket Eastern Suburbs, pictured here, is perfectly scoped out with tasteful furniture and bold artwork adorning the walls.

Of the Federation two bedroom do-up, Darren says: “It needed a bit of love. It needed a little bit of design. It’s much, much better for it – it’s more open, it’s friendly and it presents really well.” Darren sold the house in 2015, having spent two and a half years living there with husband Olivier Duvillard while working on the renovations.

“I buy rundown houses, I live in them for a while and I make them beautiful,” he explains. Darren said he spent about $250,000 on renovations and sold the home for $2.1 million, a tidy profit on the $1.35 million purchase price.

He’s now moved to a five-bedroom home in Bondi after buying his next flip project for $2.98 million.  Click here to watch the full video tour of Darren’s home
