Black Friday Aussie Style And Where You Can Get The Bargains

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are moments away. Here in Oz we have taken this sale and made it our own.

As you may know, the Black Friday sales were traditionally the day after Thanksgiving in the USA. Black Friday was named for getting the store ‘back in the black” meaning profitable. The sale became popular across the US.   Australia started to pick up the sale starting online and several years later it is now part of our November sales.

We don’t celebrate the traditional US Thanksgiving but we Aussies do love a bargain. This year Aussies have reinvented the Black Friday sales campaign to make it an extended shopping event with a spectrum of amazing bargains before during and after the traditional US Black Friday event.

So what is the word on where you can get the bargains?

Many Aussie brands and my favourite online platforms have kicked off their Black Friday sales events with an array of offers from Monday 22 November through to Cyber Monday 29 with deals dropping daily.

eBay has commenced its fabulous deals including an extra 5% off sale prices for eBay Plus members with many Aussie Big Brand offering great deals.  Nespresso up to 20% off and use code PLBF5 for the extra 5% off for eBay Plus* members.

Just Wines up to 60% off and what a timely saving that is with the holiday season upon us. If you are an eBay Plus member there are specific sale items for eBay Plus only. Not yet an eBay Plus member, take advantage of the 30-day free trial.

Amazon has kicked off its sales across every category. If you like to support Aussie Small Business check out the Amazon small business category for some unique gift ideas. Remember the deals are constantly being updated so check back regularly.

Some fabulous specials that caught my eye on Amazon were great deals on smartwatches. Samsung Galaxy watch 56% off the recommended retail price (RRP)  was $449 Now $199 or 49% off Bosch tools.

Aussie Style Black Friday is not limited to the online pureplay platforms.  If you have a favourite brand or boutique check them out as you will most likely find they have kicked off their sales early. At the very least they will have sales from Friday 26 – Monday 29 now that Aussie retail is making the most of the Black Friday shopping frenzy prior to Christmas.

If you are doing your Christmas shopping online, do remember to take advantage of the express shipping options to ensure you get your items on time.

Savvy Shopping Tip: Black Friday sales are not just a great time for Christmas shopping, do your festive entertaining shopping too. Food and wine will also be on sale so bag and bargain and take advantage of the sales with less than five weeks to go until Santa visits.
