What is the question I get asked at least once a week? As I am a Savvy Shopaholic, I love a bargain and I am often talking about sensational value for money I get asked:
What is the best website if you love to shop and want a bargain?
This question is a loaded one. My response is usually “it depends what you are looking for”. I know that sounds like I am avoiding the question. So to answer the question with a question ‘what do you think is great value online?
When I say ‘it depends’ here are some contributing factors I believe make a fabulous website experience (and some example websites too).
I love a website with quality products, great pricing, quick postage and that is easy to navigate. That is just the start. If I am purchasing fashion items online the return policy is key. How much will it cost to send the item back if it doesn’t fit? How long will I have to decide? Key considerations that can add unwanted expense if you don’t know the terms and conditions.
In the fashion stakes, two websites come to mind that answer those questions.
The Iconic offers 100-day return policy so you have plenty of time to decide (even if what you bought is a gift). They have a variety of shipping options including 3-hour delivery in some regions. Their range of product is broad and they feature sales regularly. They have up to 70% off clearance sales where you really can bag a bargain (perhaps for last minute Father’s day gift).
No doubt one of my favourite savvy bargain sites is Ozsale. They have such aggressive pricing and such a stunning range of name brand products. It really is my ‘go-to’ site for buying presents (did I mention Christmas is coming … not long now?).
I am often asked about homewares sites and I must say I really love the value of Kmart homewares. I recently refreshed my sunroom with occasional chairs for $39, cushions for $8 and my cats were thrilled with the throw rugs I added for $12. Their homewares are all colour coordinated so everything goes beautifully together. The quality is really unbelievable. Why spend more?
I have many hungry mouths to feed so ensuring I get a grocery bargain and can click and collect or get home delivery inexpensively is a must.
Check out the Woolworths website and app. In some locations you can order online and pickup items within hours. Choose a recipe from Foodiful.com.au and it will fill your woollies shopping list with the ingredients. That is very handy when you are trying to decide what you are having for dinner on the run. Check out the Coles site too for their ‘Drop & Go’ free delivery option. They will deliver free between midnight and 5am.
When shopping discounted sites do remember to check out their returns policy, cost for shipping, how quickly you will receive the item and what else they offer.
When I get that question “What is the best website to shop?” Now you know what I mean when I answer “it depends”.
