While Aussies are well-versed in the importance of consuming two litres of water a day, many of us are not keeping up with our hydration game. In fact, a recent study by Hydralyte (who recently announced model and mother Elyse Knowles as an ambassador) revealed that a staggering 73% of Australians are falling short of their daily fluid intake. But, if you struggle to sip your way through 2000mls of h20, here are seven other surprising ways to boost your hydration – without having to chug down a bottle of still, sparking or tap.

1. Water-rich fruit is your friend

Did you know that the food you eat can be a fantastic source of hydration? Fruits like watermelon (over 90% water!), oranges, and strawberries are not just delicious – they also pack a hydrating punch.
