Eton Mess – Cocktail Of The Week

The Eton Mess gets the grown up treatment, thanks to a dash of Warner's Rhubarb Gin!

The classic British dessert, Eton mess, just got an adult make-over, thanks to Warner’s Rhubarb Gin. We’re a little undecided as to serve it before dinner or as an actual dessert, but either way, it’s on the menu for this winter!

How to Make Warner’s Rhubarb Eton Mess

Ingredients

  • 50ml      Warner’s Rhubarb Gin
  • 5             Strawberries (cut into quarters)
  • 2             Meringue shells (smashed into little chunks)
  • 2              Generous scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • 1              Mint sprig
  • Jar/glass
  • Long spoon

Method

  • Make your Eton Mess directly in the jar or glass that you will be serving it in
  • Pour 50ml of Warner’s Rhubarb Gin into the bottom of your jar/glass and place the cut strawberries in to soak – ideally for six to 12 hours
  • Then, add your crushed meringues on top and press down lightly
  • To top, add two generous scoops of vanilla ice cream (slightly melted is best) and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint
