Staying in shape and indulging your sweet tooth usually don’t go hand-in-hand.
But bikini fitness competitor Deni Kirkova is adamant she’s found the perfect partnership with her chocolate chip cookies.
The qualified fitness instructor guarantees that this vegan-friendly sweet treat will keep hunger pangs at bay, while also satisfying the urge for a treat.
Each cookie contains around 10g of protein and Deni, who charts her fitness routine and diet on

, recommends enjoying as a post workout treat that can be washed down with a protein shake or smoothie for extra gains.She teamed up with video channel Bosh! to show how to make them.
While some of the ingredients might involve a trip to a health food shop, plenty are available in supermarkets.
Ingredients
- 90g (1 cup) gluten-free oats or jumbo rolled oats
- 90g (1 cup) pumpkin seed protein powder
- 4 tbsp peanut butter (any nut butter will also do)
- 80ml (2.7 fl oz) agave syrup (maple syrup also works)
- Dark chocolate chips (or try a broken-up 70% dark chocolate bar)
- 200ml (6.7 fl oz) hazelnut milk (any plant milk will do)
Method
- Put the oats, protein powder, peanut butter, agave syrup, half the dark chocolate chips & hazelnut milk in a food processor & blend to a paste
- Put small, flat balls of the mix on a baking tray lined with parchment paper
- Push a few chocolate chips into the centre of each small, flat ball of mixture
- Put a ‘lid’ of mixture on each base
- Push a little chocolate chip in to the top of each cookie
- Bake at 200℃ (392℉) for 20 minutes
- Take out of the oven, wait for them to cool down a little
