1 Bake items such as savory muffins, quiche or frittatas in advance and freeze to pop in to a lunch box in the morning, it will save time, keep fresh and thaw throughout the morning, just in time for lunch.
2. Freeze cartons of drinks, like milk, not only will it keep it chilled for lunch time, it will also act as an ice pack to keep other food items fresh.
3. Shop with your children, find out what they will and won’t eat. You could be surprised about what they may be willing to try that you hadn’t thought about.
4. Use stamps to decorate the food wrappers, any marketer will tell you how important packaging is.
5. Colour theme lunches, this can help mix things up without much effort, to help do this you can use different pasta colours (you can always mix things up with pasta shapes too).
The Carousel thanks IGA supermarkets for these tips.
