Lyndey Milan’s Ridiculously Easy Chocolate Slice

Most slices take time, preparing the different layers and cooking and preparing different layers. This one doesn’t but it is very, very rich. Don’t even think about using skim condensed milk!

Chocolate Slice Recipe

Makes 24
Preparation 5-10 mins
Cooking 25-40 mins

INGREDIENTS
200 shortbread, crushed
80 g butter, melted
250 ml dark chocolate chips
250g almonds, pecans, walnuts or hazelnuts, roasted and roughly chopped
100 g milk chocolate (roughly chopped)
100 g white chocolate (roughly chopped)
¾ teaspoon fine salt
395g tin sweetened condensed milk

METHOD
1 Line a rectangular lamington tin with baking paper . Preheat oven to 180’C
2 Scatter crushed biscuits over base of tin then drizzle with butter, use fingers to push down. Scatter over chocolate chips, nuts and chocolate roughly chopped, sprinkle evenly with salt. Drizzle condensed milk over top. Bake for 25-40 minutes or until mostly firm.
3 Cool then cut into squares or slices. Leave to cool completely or refrigerate.
