One of the first companies to explore this gap in the market was started by US professional soccer players Lindsay Tarpley and Leslie Osbourne, founders of Sweat Cosmetics.
Their business endeavour was fuelled by their personal struggle with constantly appearing on television after playing a match and not being able to wear makeup or suncream without it running off their faces. Not a good look when on TV.
Unfortunately, Sweat Cosmetics is only available in the US at the moment, but its success has inspired other brands to join the active-friendly makeup train.
