How To Contour: No Makeup required

Beauty bloggers and vloggers have all jumped on the ‘how to contour’ bandwagon and it’s even got as far fetched as using kitchen utensils as contouring tools.

There are contouring video tutorials using knives and forks to contour with, I kid you not. Sadly, it makes the task a little less accessible and difficult to complete.

The latest bizarre twist on contouring has come from a DIY beauty blogger and YouTube star called Farah Dhukai, who recently posted a video on how to contour with no makeup!

At the time of writing, it had been viewed more than 2.9 million times!

It involves all natural ingredients such as rose petals, yoghurt, honey, espresso and cacao powder. The resulting mask is designed to highlight and contour the face, whilst also tightening and hydrating the skin.

💡💀HIGHLIGHT AND CONTOUR with NO MAKE UP!💀🔪 🔥I like to call this my “highlight and contour” mask, but this is also called multi-masking- where you use different masks for different “concerns” on your face. 🌝The white “highlight” mask BRIGHTENS and LIGHTENS to reveal a beautiful GLOW 🌚The brown “contour” mask TIGHTENS both masks also hydrate the skin and exfoliate but more on that later 🌟HIGHLIGHT MASK: 🔹Rose Petals (you can use fresh or dried, I used dried and crushed them) 🔹Honey – A little less than 1tbsp 🔹Yogurt – 1 tbsp ✅Apply to all the areas of your face that you want to brighten and “highlight” to get a natural glow 🍗CONTOUR MASK: 🔸Espresso/Coffee Brewed Grinds – 1tbsp 🔸Cacao Powder – Tbsp 🔸Honey – A little less than 1tbsp ✅Apply to all the areas of your face that you want to tighten to “contour” to look naturally chiseled 💨LET BOTH MASKS DRY COMPLETELY 💦WASH OFF WITH LUKEWARM WATER in CIRCULAR MOTIONS to EXFOLIATE (careful near your eyes) 🌬PAT DRY 💣BOOOOOOOM youll look naturally highlighted and contoured! “highlight” areas will look like theyre glowing and your “contoured” areas will feel tighttttttttttt and righttt ✌🏾️DO THIS TWICE A WEEK! ‼️✨WHY THIS WORKS!✨‼️ #1 HIGHLIGHT MASK -Yogurt has lactic acid which exfoliates to reveal bright and tight fresh skin – it also prevents wrinkles so its perfect for the undereye. Its also full of B vitamins so it makes your skin glowing and plump and hydrated -Rose water also brightens and tones the skin and makes it smoooooth -Honey is full of anti-oxidants and is so hydrating so it makes your skin glow #2 CONTOUR MASK -Espresso/Coffee the caffeine pulls excess moisture from the skin, making it look more firm and tight. This is the MAIN ingredient which gives the contoured effect. NO SUBSTITUTIONS -Cacao powder is a natural sunscreen and helps improve skin complexion. Full of vitamin C, and fatty acids that keep your skin healthy *you can use each mask on their own OR you can use them how I did as a highlight and contour* these masks also smell good enough to eat -youll smell like youre baking a delicious cake on your face! The lightening and highlighting mask leaves your skin looking luminous and glowing.

The darker contouring mask contains coffee which is a powerful antioxidant in itself.

But Farah mixes it with cacao powder and honey which gives it a slight staining effect, resulting in naturally contoured skin.

Try it for yourself and follow @farahdhukai for more natural beauty potions.
