The Cool Factor At BCBG NYFW 2015 – Backstage Sneak Peek

The Carousel was invited to go behind the scenes and here is our guide to what was hot at the BCBGMaxazaria’s Spring Summer show and what was on trend.

“I wanted the effortless cool of our Californian girl to be reflected in her hair with a distressed, wet-look wave that accentuates her hair’s natural texture,” says Orlando Pita, New York Fashion Week Ambassador for TRESemmé. “I love mimicking that moment when her hair starts to dry after a day by the water.

“For Spring 2016, BCBGMAXAZARIA returned to its LA roots, infusing the ease of Californian beach cool with urban influences into our girl’s laid-back style,” says BCBGMAXAZRIA designer Lubov Azaria. “Our girl is a tomboy at heart who unashamedly wears what she wants to wear so we love the rough, lived-in feel of Orlando’s modern, beachy waves.”

What you’ll need…

  • TRESemmé Perfectly (un)done Weightless Moisturising shampoo and conditioner
  • TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)done Wave Creating Sea Foam
  • TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)done Ultra Brushable Hairspray
  • Hairdryer
  • Bobby pins

Here’s how to get the look…

Step 1 – Start by washing your hair using Perfectly (un)Done Weightless Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and towel dry.

Step 2 – Create a center part. Layer Perfectly (Un)done Wave Creating Sea Foam onto a 2 inch wide section of hair, twist and secure in a bun with a hair pin. Repeat until all hair is secured.

Step 3 – Use a hair dryer to dry each twisted bun, or leave to air dry. When dry, unravel each bun, twisting the hair as you remove the hair pin to maintain loose waves

Step 4 – Use a soft bristle brush to smooth the waves around the face and the mid lengths.

Step 5 – Finish the look by sweeping all hair to the front and spraying Perfectly (un)Done Ultra Brushable Hairspray for flexible hold.
