Songstress Delta Goodrem On Spring Racing Beauty

With her top tips for how to get your trackside makeup looking hot and staying in place. Delta talks about her beauty, fashion and health routines with her top tip on how a simple bright smile can complement and finish any beauty routine!

“A fresh eye with lots of lash and a 60’s eyeliner together with a colourful lip is what I like for Spring time.”

What’s your best pre-race-day preparation routine to be looking your best on the day?

It’s all about the preparation… taking the time to look at the details of your grooming from head to toe. Manicures, facials and all preparation ahead of an event, in this case race days. Closer to race day I’ll decide on my makeup look to match my outfit and the mood I’m in!

What’s your favourite Day during Spring Racing Carnival?

The Melbourne Cup – it’s the race that stops a nation! I have such fond memories of singing the National Anthem a few years ago and at school when I was growing up when the whole school would stop for those couple of minutes to watch the race. Even if you’re not a race goer or into betting, it’s fun to join a sweep or just cheer for your favourite horse name or jockey colour!

What are the hottest new make-up trends to sport track-side this Spring Racing Carnival?

At the moment a fresh eye with lots of lash and a 60’s eyeliner together with a colourful lip is what I like for Spring time. Always a fresh natural base for coverage with illumination on the cheeks.

How does your Spring Racing Carnival beauty regime differ from your every-day regime?

The only time it changes is if I am singing versus attending socially. Having confidence at any event is key, it’s all about standing out on the field and the best way to do that is with a white smile. I have a regime now that I pretty much stick too for both.

How do you get your look to ‘stay-put’ throughout the excitement of the day?

I always have my little bag of tricks with me – It’s important to always have your lip gloss with you so you feel fresh and can continue feeling good giving everyone good energy.

What are some must-have products to pop in your bag to take along to the races?

Max Factor Infinity lip gloss stays on for so long and there are so many great colours! Mac Foundation, YSL Mascara and Tom Ford Perfume to spray during the day.

How do you keep your energy levels up across a working day over the Spring Racing Carnival?

The same way I do any day … pace myself…
