In our previous video, we got back to basics with two simple ways to clean your skin. Whilst one cleanse is good, two is even better. Great skincare etiquette comes down to pairs; always try and do each step twice, to ensure a deeper cleanse, tone or moisturise. Beauty Expert Andrea Claire looks at three different types of cleansers; a clay mask, a cleansing oil and a daily exfoliant, all which elicit a sensory skincare feast.
Dr Jart+ Derma Clear Trans-Foam Clay x 3
This clever trio comes with a Calming, Moisturising and Refreshing Clay, which means you can do a two-in-one – both cleanse and do a clay mask at the same time. For someone like me who is allergy prone, the Calming is great to placate any redness and rash. The moisturising is the perfect little travel companion (a handy size to avoid heavy hand luggage), whilst the Refresh is exactly what you need for sleepy skin when you can’t click the ‘Snooze’ button any longer.
Philosophy Purity Made Simple Mineral Oil-Free Cleansing Oil
Cleansing oils are the current craze, with many choosing them as their cleansing weapon of choice. All you need to do with is add a little water and it gets this silk-like milky texture, which not only melts away any unwanted makeup, but nourishes the skin simultaneously. Most importantly it doesn’t leave a greasy, oily film on your skin (a big concern for many when it comes to oils) and leaves you with luxurious, supple skin.
It’s all about a bright, radiant complexion when it comes to this AlphaH Exfoliant. With papaya and pineapple inside, you’ll not only feel like you’re on a tropical island (coconut daiquiri not included), but your skin will be refreshed and positively glow-y. With a fine grain texture, all you do is add some water, create a paste on the back of your hand, emulsify all over your face with your fingertips and rinse off. It’s also a great exfoliater for sensitive skin, as the granules aren’t harsh and abrasive so there’s no scratching or irritation, meaning you can slather away every day.
Set your timer for the the final video in the series, where we talk all about clarifying your complexion for those sensitive skin types.
