See below for Steph’s step-by-step instructions
The first step is this fabulous new Garnier Perfect Blur Smoothing Base Perfector, $16.99, it’s like a primer and it is such a great product. I always like to use the back of my hand to put product on because then you don’t overload your face too much.
Today I’m using the L’Oreal Nude Magique Eau De Teint foundation, $24.95 and again I’m using my fingers and the back of my hand just so I get the right consistency.
Next step is the brows, again they frame the face. Make up artists are always saying you really need to focus on them. As I have a fringe I always seem to neglect the poor things but I found this fabulous Natio Brow Finishing Gel, $12.95
Again its got a little bit of pigment, it doesn’t take long only a couple of seconds and finishing I like to use my ring finger and get a little bit of colour in there.
Once the foundation is settled its time to put a bit of Almay Smart Shade Loose Finishing Powder, $15.95
I have discovered these lovely soft Models Prefer Powder & Bronzer Brush, $24.99 from Priceline and then basically just tipping the product into the lid, getting rid of any excess and putting it just on all the trouble zones, which is basically all over my face!
Next step, for all of those red little dots is the Models Prefer Anti-Wrinkle Concealer, $11.99 and again just around the corner of the nose, a tiny bit on the chin and I love a concealer with a little brush just for accuracy and then just a dot in the corner of the eye to wake the eye up.
One of the earliest tips I ever picked up, going on for 30 years is too use blush as an eye shadow. It’s such a clever little technique, so again taking a soft blush brush and applying it all over the lid – Revlon Powder Blush with Brush in Racy Rose, $20.76
The next tip I picked up is using white eyeliner on the inner rim of the eye to really wake the eye up. Having it sharp and sharpening it every time you apply to just make sure it’s hygienic – Essence Kajal Pencil in White, $1.80
Then for the lashes, I have some trusty eye lash curlers here, gently squeezing. Rimmel has a great new mascara called Scandal Eyes Rockin Curves, $8.27, which I love and again it’s all about the brush. R&D (research and development) spend years researching these brushes so as you can see it has a little curl that really gives you a curl and volume.
And now the finishing touch, I love these little chubby sticks! This one is the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in 225, $17.95 is just the most brilliant tool. Again, it’s another fabulous 2 in 1. I love it on the lips and again it’s just dotting it on and again using those trusty fingers.
And this is my ultimate secret weapon the Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk, $12.99
Basically it volumises and gives your hair real volume, so you get really young looking hair.
