Fruity New Fragrances From Marc Jacobs, Guerlain & Juicy Couture

With summer drawing to a close (sob), it won’t be long before we swap out our two-pieces for our trench coats, dust off the doonas, and dig out the slow cooker.

Transitioning into winter usually means going heavier – with our clothes, bedding and food (and, uh, sometimes our figures too). Traditionally, we’ve automatically reached for more intense fragrances, too. Think spicy, smoky or sticky-sweet gourmand blends.

But with three fresh and fruity new twists on much-loved perfumes hitting the counters for autumn, it could be time to rethink that particular beauty rule. Think of these juicy blends as sensory escapes when the weather (and your wardrobe) is dull and dreary. Just close your eyes, take a deep breath and you’ll swear you actually look just like the fruity beauty in the photo above.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight

With an initial top-note burst of blood orange (along with pink pepper and white tea), and a raspberry-infused heart (there are also notes of tiare tahiti and violet here), it’s the light and lingering base that really gets you – along with musk and amber is the sensation of apricot skin. Expect the warm and fuzzies.

Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Couture

The sweet and succulent raspberry top note will have you wanting to re-spritz this beauty all day long. But it’s worth letting the so-pretty perfume slowly reveal itself – expect a rosy richness, laid out on a bed of patchouli, vetiver and moss. For a perfume that starts out as sweet as (fruity) pie, it sure knows how to go out on a strong (and long) note.

Juicy Couture Malibu

There’s a fruit salad of aromas in the top notes – watermelon, tangerine, blackcurrant, green apple and pink passion fruit; the heart is largely floral (wild rose, water lily, jasmine and frangipani), melting into a base of tiare blossom and creamy musk. Think a cocktail you’d slowly sip at a ritzy five-star island resort.
