It’s been a big few months in the beauty world. Here, we reveal the new celebrity faces fronting some of the biggest brands.
Jourdan Dunn
She made headlines starring in Beyonce’s ‘XO’ film clip and is also known for being Cara Delevingne’s best friend. Now, 23-year-old British beauty and mother-of-one Jourdan Dunn is the new face of Maybelline New York. “It is an honor to be a spokesperson for such an iconic brand,” said Dunn “I am proud to say that I am a Maybelline girl and hopefully I can make people feel the same way I did when I saw the advertisements growing up. The brand imagery is always beautiful and positive. To now be a part of that is a dream come true!”
L’Oréal Paris is known for having a dream team of ambassadors including Blake Lively, Lara Stone and Doutzen Kroes. Now, actress Zoe Saldana has been added to the A-list. Set to appear as Neytiri in the upcoming Avatar sequels, Saldana says, “Growing up, I was taught to believe that I am capable to do anything a man can do. This family philosophy has shaped who I am today, and is a conviction that will always accompany me through life.” Adding, “As a L’Oréal Paris spokesperson, being able to say “We’re worth it” means so much to me.”
Kate Upton
Having only had one previous celebrity ambassadress – Katie Holmes – beauty giant Bobbi Brown has just announced it’s second partnership with model and actress, Kate Upton. “I’m thrilled to be the face of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. Bobbi is an American success story – she created a global brand from an idea that women can be beautiful being exactly who they are and I love that,” says Upton. Holmes will continue to be a face of the brand while Upton will appear in images at Bobbi Brown cosmetics counters worldwide from July.
Jessica Alba
Golden Globe-nominated starlet Jessica Alba is the new beauty brand ambassador for Braun. “Jessica Alba is a strong, passionate woman and an advocate for others – she is the perfect ambassador to talk about the role beauty and our products play in helping women to feel their best,” said Alessandra Dolfini – Global Braun Marketing Director. Mother to Honor (5) and Haven (2), Alba, who will feature across TV, print and online channels, is also set to appear in upcoming films Dear Eleanor and Sin City: A Dame To Kill For.
Maria Sharapova
Having served her way through many hours of sunshine, tennis champion and Russian-born beauty has joined forces with sun protection skincare brand, Supergoop!. Sharapova will be starring in campaigns to help elevate the brand’s mission to raise skin cancer awareness. Sharapova, who is the brand’s new co-owner and ambassador, says, “As an avid user of Supergoop! daily for a number of years, I was drawn to not only the quality of the product but also the opportunity to educate people around the world about the importance of practicing safe sun habits every day.”
